This reference material was prepared by Qi et al. [1] from commercially available L-glutamic acids which were dissolved in water and mixed with small amounts of L-glutamic acids isotopically enriched in δ13C or in δ15N. The solution was dried again and packaged. Its recommended δ13C value was determined in an international calibration [2].
