Barium Sulfate

NBS-127 barium sulfate was prepared by J. R. O'Neil, U.S. Geological Survey, by ion exchange of sulfate in seawater from Monterey Bay, California, USA [1,2]. The isotopic values of the reference material NBS-127 are the results of the statistical evaluation of interlaboratory comparisons.
